Is the dm500 like tm 5400

I?d heard it was possible to get non fta channels with a upgraded tm 5400 but since encryption changes its now less possible. Someone advised me to consider the *coughs*share route with a linux based box like the dm500. As a complete beginner and wanting to start simple is it possible to upgrade the dm500 (possible clone) as you would the tm 5400 to receive non fta channels without a internet connection?, I wanna start basic as possible rather than going direct to card share thanks

You will open very little these days with just Keys & EMU on the dreambox..

Thor 0.8W is the only open package of any worth..

The dreambox is a waste of time and money if you do not connect it to the internet..

you will open very little with just patching any box.. even server IP boxes like the Maxx require constant internet connection
