does anyone live near leamington spa and want to help install a motorized dish

ok mate i believe i have got it now place my dish at the top of the pole... and motor and dish in the center not on 28e... and the put in my lat and long in the box and got 0.,8w and it should only move a little bit because the motor is set on 0 already... cheers lee oh read it again motor in center... and move just my dish to 0.8w while the motor is still set to 0 cheers lee

nope, the motor will move to where 0.8w should be according to your longitude and latitude that you placed into your box. then you adjust the motor left/right and the dish up/down until bbc world news booms in, then lock it up

the zero points at true south which is not 0.8w, not 28e and not anything else either

your true south is your longitude, which is 1.5 west I believe

ok mate here i go again ...place dish and motor center of the pole at the top...motor is set to 0....then enter my lat and long it the box and save that using ulas... then go to 0.8w and the motor will do the work there... then put channel bbc on and fine tune.. going up and down and left and right.... or do i use the motor button to go left and right or move myself... hope i have got it now cheers mate lee and is the motor surpose to blink red and green about every 4-5 seconds... and also i have a satfinder.. but i dropped my lnb yesterday.. tryed it today using lnb and motor...to the finder light came on and was beebing when move sat.. does my lnb should good or bust mat cheers lee

once you have selected 0.8w and bbc world news, the box will send the motor to where the channel should be according to your longitude and latitude

at this point you do not move the motor with any buttons, and not moved by the sat box or the remote control either

the only movement you make is with your hands on the actual motor body on the slackened motor clamps and physically move the motor around the pole itself, left or right as required

the dish is moved up or down by its elevation adjuster

so all this adjustment is physical, but the actual motor inside the motor housing is never moved from its 0.8w channel (bbc world news)

this means that the motor clamps and dish elevation adjuster all need tightening up when you have located and fine tuned that channel

only after its all tightened up do you then touch the remote control and check fta channels on hotbird 13e and hispasat 30w , and 19e and 28e etc

ok all i am really stuck here i have tryed to find thor with no luck whats so very can only pick up uk 28..... doing my head in big time... where am i going wrong here. got 87 singnal for uk sat is that good there.. can i use this sat to lock in the rest or does it have to be thor cheers all lee

With a USALS setup you can choose any satellite you wish to setup on but you first must make sure that your motor is pointing South
