    sat finder recomends

    hi, all just looking at this sat finder on the bay (New SATlink WS-6906 3.5" DVB-S FTA Data Digital Satellite Signal Finder Meter UK | eBay) i am set up ok at the mo,but just in case of movement (winds) this looks ideal (no tv+box on the roof) looks ok for the price has anybody used one of these if so are they good /bab,at the mo i just have a cheap one but never no what sat locked onto,cheers shaun

    i use a Nikkai digital sat meter for fine tuning, so if it moved in the wind i could bring it back to the strongest signal as long as it's pointing at the correct satellite. Not used a 6906 but it looks quite good .

      I have one of these and it worked fine at first. The software updates can be tricky. Make sure to do a data dump and back it up before you do any updates. That way if the update is bad (I have tried two already that are bad) you can return the unit back the way it was. That said, if you do get one and it is for United States and has the blind scan feature, do a data dump on it and post the .bin file. I think it would help some people (including me).
