dont get a D500c as its for cable..

the best cheap linux box to go for is the Blackbox 500S..

Find them at Linuxsat, Dreambox seller

the picture quality is fine.. be warned though some broadcasters from accross europe dont have the same high quality pictures as the UK.. No matter what box you buy services like Digitalb, ART, JSC and Nova will be of a lower quality than what your used to.. stilll watchable but not as crisp as Sky

its a lot more complex than just buying a box mate and plugging it in.. nothing opens of much worth these days via Keys & EMU..

Ebay is littered with Linux boxes that people have found too complex to set up.. make sure you do a lot of reading and googling before making your purchase..

way more complex than patching a dbox mate im afraid..
The channels that show EPL do not clear with EMU & Keys.. (Canal Digital does on 1W put you wont be guarenteed a Liverpool game every week.. also it wont be open for that much longer anyway)

you need to be able to set up a static IP address and port forward your router, thats before you have even turned your box on.. then you need to program a linux code into the config, bearing in mind thats if you are able to locate the code from somewhere.. its not easy but rules dont allow me to talk about it here mate..
