    Finding 39east

    Hi,

How easy is it to find 39east using a manual Satellite finder (sq box with LNB & REC ) either side and the needle n gauge.

    Regards

Hi. Dont know much about needles and gauges but i find satellites very easy to find. I just use a portable tv and receiver outside the house and put a FTA channel for any particular sat and manually turn the dish until a picture appears and then tighten the dish up. may have to fine tune it a couple of times to get all available channels to come in. Very simple really.

    Regards.

agreed, its my preferred method too, dont need any fancy sat meters if you do as you say, just a cheap noise maker to tell you that you are on a satellite, use the receiver to find out which sat you are on

as for 39e, its easy enough to find, and you can hang an lnb off a sly dish lnb and find it, never mind point a dish at it

As stated above I don't bother with satellite finders either. 39e is VERY easy to find just move your dish to the right of Astra 28e and down a little then skew your LNB at about 10 to the hour if it were on a clock face. The strongest transponder on 39e is 12524 H 30000 7/8 if you can see the FTA Channel "The Voice" you have found it.
