diseqc motor help

hi all can anyone tell me if there is a why to test a diseqc motor to see if it is working ok ??? it is about 2 years old it is a stab hh 120. i have it hooked up to a dream 7000 i can move it with < > bottons but the diseqc part dont work for me i have all the settting set and stored (see my other post in sat-dreambox )

the setting for diseqc are stored in the motor electronics not your dreambox ie when you set say 1w to equal posiotion 1 your dreambox stores it on the motor so the setting in your dreambox may not corrispond with your motor positions try to set it up again

thanks for your time m8 i think my prob is the motor i have found 13* and saved it scaned and stored chs and then moved to 16* and done the same, so if the dish is on 13* lets just say sly channel when i go to a ch on 16* press ok the dish wont move

looks like the motor is knackered mate. have you tried to use it using the usals setting?

well after a week of doing my head in i pulled the old sanny 9500 from the loft and this is not working on the motor so i guss the next thing is to get a new motor so my Q is is it worth paying the extera money for the stab HH120 ???

ah thats it! maybe your dish is too heavy! you need a new motor! make sure it has metal gears!

m8 the dish has been on the motor for over 2-3 years now, dish and motor where sold buy hisat the motor can hold 17kg the dish is 15kg
