Astra V Eutelsat @ 28e. Transponder changes next month???

Looks like some major changes might be taking place in early October concerning transponders currently run by Eutelsat. SES want to use those frequencies for the Astra satellites after winning a court battle with Eutelsat:-

    News - SES.com

Astra 2E is set to launch at the end of this month.

However things might not yet be completely settled as Eutelsat might still contest the outcome:-

I read on another forum that 3 Eutelsat transponders are already being duplicated on previously unused Astra 1N transponders, although I haven't verified this myself yet.

    11508H duplicated on 10921H
    11565V duplicated on 12304H
    11603V duplicated on 12188H

I believe Eutelsat have until the 19th tomorrow to so call ague there case as apparently an agreement between the two companys about this TP issue was written in a contractual agreement some 10 years ago.

We shall probably hear more about this tomorrow

Haven't heard any more news about this yet (time's running out), but it looks like some channels will be changing transponders twice in a short space of time, after being allocated temporary transponders...
