    Receiver Transponder Error...

Hello anybody can tell me what can be wrong, my receiver (openbox s9 hd) doesn't find transponders on Sly UK which are on 29500 frequency in this case channels on them (sly sport 3 hd and f1 hd). Also on hotbird 13 eurosport hd channel goes scrambled every 5 seconds so I have to change channel and go back again but after 5 seconds same thing happens :/
Before everything was all right I was able to see those channels and yes I scanned them a lot of times in case you think the frequency might be changed...
So do you think my receiver got some fault or is it something to do with lnb? Thanks.

29500 is a symbol rate, not a frequency

You should be scanning 12363 v with the symbol rate confirmed by ramjet and you should get somewhere

W0W really? So how did you help me? You think only because I don't know the name of them I can't find a transponder? Didn't you red what i said? Everything works apart that one transponder, there's no signal 45%...
P.S. It's the second thread I posted about this issues (I posted it in the different section on purpose because before I got the same replies e.g. check kingofthesats maybe the channel has moved...) I thought here someone will help me but it seems no...

Hi. I dont think its your receiver or LNB as everything else is working fine. The reason you are not getting the signal could be due to
incorrect frequency being inputted/transponder does not exist anymore/dish misaligned etc. Have you tried a blind scan?? As you know with a blind scan you dont need to know any frequencies as it will automatically tune everything in for you assuming your dish is aligned properly. Hope this helps you and please dont feel too negative about this forum as i am sure that people do their best to help you.
          Regards.

It seems there's no helping some folk. You never said you had scanned the frequency I provided for you (instead of telling you to go to kos and look yourself which will happen from now on) only that you had been scanning a symbol rate as pointed out by ramjet. Both posts you received were factually correct and helpful in response the the information you provided. We are pretty good at helping sort out problems but not mindreaders so can only advise on the information given.

To be fair to the members replying to your post, your first post was very misleading. You didn't say that everything worked apart from one transponder, you said transponders (plural), making it sound like all transponders using symbol rate 29500 were not working. That's how I read it anyway. It's not a matter of being pedantic in correcting your wording, it's a matter of trying to understand what the problem is.

So the symbol rate (that 16 transponders currently use), has no bearing on your problem.

Yes sorry if I expressed too much. So I tried blind scan/accurate scan even I entered the details manually, didn't work. This is only for some of the transponders 2 or 3 I can't tell you because I don't watch all the channels and because I used to watch sports 3hd and f1 hd before. So yes maybe the dish misaligned or something? Other people mentioned some diode fix but I'm not sure what it is.

Do you have more than 1 box connected to the same LNB (such as an official $ly+ box)? This can cause problems with vertically polarised channels. The diode fix is just a diode inserted in line between the LNB & Openbox to fix the problem. They are available on Ebay if you search for "no signal fix".

If you do have another box connected, switch it off & try scanning your S9 again.

Hello I solved the problem. (not really...)
Not really means that I have to disable ports of HOT BIRD 13 and ASTRA 4A to be able to watch missing channels on SLY UK.
So can anybody tell me now what piece of my equipment is broken maybe not functioning properly because before everything used to be OK.

The First port of call would be to inspect the Diseqc switch if it is easily reachable you could try swapping it out and see how you go or even by pass it for the time being and try each individual satellite position on your receiver one at a time and see if the problem TP symbol rates are still there. after that you would have to look at the LNB's or even the receiver itself
