What is the best HD sat receiver to buy?

Hello everyone,

I have recently joined and I think the site is great. Very nicely designed.

I have looked for some other posts relating to my question but I cannot find a conclusive answer.

I would like to know which is the best satellite HD receiver to buy at the moment.

I currently have a dreambox 500s CS and it is doing the job nicely :-) but I would like to upgrade to take advantage of all those HD channnels out there.

I know there are several options from IPbox to dreambox. I like the dreambox and I have invested a good bit of time in learning to use it. I see a dream HD800 advertised on ebay for around 500eur. This is expensive and I would like to make sure that it is a good box. One of the features I would like is to be able to record and watch another channel at the same time.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

the dm800 is a good box with the nabilosat image as this image has nice menu graphics
i dont have a ipbox so cant say how good they are
the dm800 is only single tuner ,so can only watch another channel on the same transponder,ive internal hdd for recording which works with no problems
with a ?400 price tag here
