    You can have both working on the same Motor at the same time, People do this when they find that the USALS position stored by the motor for certain satellites does not give a good enough signal and so they tweak the motor using 1.2 save the position and then every other satellite is still using the USALS sytem.

    The biggest 2 are probably 4.8? east for the Nordic beam and 7? west for the mena beam you can store these separately as Diseqc 1.2 and have the rest of your satellites use the USALS system especially for the strong birds like 28,19,13 etc...

    To set this up on an Enigma2 machine is very simple instead of choosing the normal setup as in Simple - Positioner you would change this to advanced and then go through every satellite you need and at the very end it will ask do you want to use USALS or Diseqc 1.2 for this satellite so of course for the 2 i mentioned you would choose Diseqc 1.2 and for the rest USALS.
