Can anybody recomend a new satalite and lnb to buy

like the title says, had the same dish up for atleast 6 years now and the lnb has been up around 4 since we had to get a new 1 when we got sly anytime. we get pretty bad winters with alot of snow falling off the roof directly onto the dish so that is more than likely out of line but also with the lnb being an older version all the wire connections are not shielded from the wind, rain and snow. heres a picture of the dish and lnb i have (or very similar)

what you have is perfectly capable of receiving 28 east as long as its aligned correctly and as long as the lnb is in good working condition
its not really that "old" and should be fine

a 60cm zone 2 sly dish would collect more signal and so be better in bad weather but should not be necessary

you only need a different sat dish and lnb if you want multiple satellites from a fixed or motorised dish

You say that the wire connections are not shielded, but the LNB you have should have a cover that pulls down over the F connectors to protect them. Have a look.

thanks for the replies, the reason i think it needs replaced is i had somebody out at the beginning of the year to sort out my signal and it was fine all over the summer but now the colder weather has set in ive lost most of my HD channels again. over the years snow has fallen off the roof and bent the bracket the dish is fixed to so i was just going to but a full new dish, lnb and bracket as i had a good week with the bookies last week
