Ive currently got a skybox f5 but wanting to get a better box something like a technomate or amiko alien 2 so can use egnigma 2 ive seen they have auto channel updates ect but can u put all the thing on them like the xbmc streamers ive seen as i would rather have a all in one box than using two any advice on this would be great not used linux base things b4 apart from backtrack so is installing the stuff hard to do or is it straight forward

they are more work but you only get out what you put in, so if you want the best you work harder and learn to make it happen

check the vu and dreambox forums on here, and this thread may help too

my advice is keep your first box running as it is now for a while whilst you get used to flashing your new box, adding channel lists, plugins like autobouquets and icefilms and 1channel etc and really get to know it, try stuff out , once its running properly and setup as you like it , back it up to usb stick - full image and your settings , then maybe try something different like a different image and import your settings , try various things out until you are happy with it, then give it the main stage and put your f5 on the back burner

I myself have just upgraded from f5 to technomate nano box bought from w.o.s great service ,it runs enigma 2 and vix image ,i have the plugin tsmedia installed with 1 channel and icefilms addon, there is also a xbmc plugin available, its more involved setting the technomate up than the f5 but well worth it

m8 have a look at w.o.s for gigablue good price for a twin tuner box , also on the bay you can get a xtrend 4000/6500 which is a couple of other options to consider
