Guide to setting up new media PC with DVB/S2

Hi folks,

Can anyone point me in the right direction with regards to setting up a media PC as a satellite receiver? I need a dual tuner DVD/S2 card and also what software is best to use? I have a Solo2 sat box but I'm getting frustrated with buggy software. Barely a day goes by where having to reboot because CrossEPG doesn't work or it crashes when recording etc. Thanks!

It is very doubtful you will find any solace in a Media PC running a DVB-S2 card any easier than a Linux receiver they both have there software bugs but the PC side is more so.

Try and stick with the Solo2 as once it is running correctly it will work like a charm

Thanks for the help digicon! Sorry for the slow reply. I didn't realise anyone replied as I usually get a notification, but here we are now :-)

Yeah I think I will stick with the box for now. Just need to find a decent, reliable image. Cheers!
