Sagem receiver - what can I do with it?

I have recently terminated a contract with a satellite service provider and am left with a Sagem receiver but no card.

How would I go about using it to receiver FTA channels, if that was at all possible?

most of the sagem boxes are fta FREESAT boxes for 28e, so should pick up any fta channels from there anyway

no card is required for fta channels, so just switch it on and check if you receive fta channels from your usual satellite

Actually it isn't that simple.... The STB has firmware which expects to have a card installed. What I am hoping to find is some alternative firmware which will bypass this check.

in that case I would say no, never heard of it , especially not here in the uk

if its just fta you want, use a cheap new or second hand box like a spiderbox , skybox , technomate , blade or similar 3rd party boxes

if the provider is sly at 28.2e, just use any old cheap slybox for fta channels
