    installers help please

i have just had a inverto octo lnb installed with 5 outputs comming off it 3 upstairs and 2 down stairs at the moment i have 2 boxes upstairs 1 vu+ solo and a openbox s10, the dish was on astra when he put the new lmb on but now when i try to go to an other sat through s10 it says no signal and only sees astra 28.2 and clears fine he said when he put the lnb on he did not disturb the dish, i wanted this lnb so the both boxes got there own feed instead of before used the loopthrough on the s10 for the vu+ any ideas what has happened.

    thanks

the lnb will only allow you signals from the satellite it is pointed at, so if its pointed at 28.2e which is astra 2, that is the only set of channels it will receive whilst pointed at that sat

if you have a motorised dish , one of the boxes will control the motor , the others wont

it is a motor dish and the s10 was turning it before the invetro octo lnb was installed but now it only sees astra an d when goling to a other sat it says no signal

in that case check it is connected to the motor and lnb, check the motorised settings on the box , test this by connecting a different box to the motor feed and see if that operates the motor itself

ie:- if the motor does not move then its stuck on that single satellite and the dish is in effect fixed
