Bit late now of course but for future reference are these freq's location pacific?, reason i'm asking is I can't pick up the freq on 7e and the freq for 10e I can pick up channels but they come up as BBC 1 Sky Sports etc.. scrambled.

My location is Belfast and i'm using a 97cm Technomate Dish and LNB, signal strength is around the 75% mark but quality is only around the 56% this is after a lot of fine tuning using my combo's step drive function on Motor settings.

What are the Strengths I should expect on this Sat and I suppose is a bigger dish needed?.

That frequency i posted for 7? east was used on the Eutelsat 7A satellite which its main footprint the Europe beam should be nice and strong in the UK, Footprint Location maps give this a 48dbw rating which should equate to a 60-70cm size dish which should be taken with a pinch of salt as no one knows if Eutelsat actually reduce power on the live feeds on the day of broadcast which would greatly increase the size of dish required.

You have to remember that Uplinks use dish sizes of around 2.5 - 3m dish sizes and downlink studios very similar or larger so to actually guarantee you could pick these up 100% you would need similar sized equipment. As you have seen we do pick these up and as for do they use the same frequency sometimes they do with a change of the SR or they can use a new frequency altogether.

What can you actually pick up from 7? east at the moment do you get any channels from the Europe beam.

Thanks digicon for the reply, on the settings I gave and using Blind Scan on my HD Combo I'm picking up around 258 tv channels on 7e which is only 11 short of what there is suppose to be according to Kingofsats listings.

So I think my dish might be alright for this sat.
