As blueflash234 says the Quad is a far superior receiver to the Duo ,its pretty much the same spec as the Solo 2 .
It runs Vix too and is very reliable.

Missed it for that price. Looks like it was a pricing error, went upto 249.00 plus shipping while I was checking out.

Delivery was pretty quick, and from Germany!

Also good to know people on here have one.. I can see the other half going into meltdown when he starts adding bits and bobs to it, FTP'ing etc...

Any of you quad owners remember what OS/image came as standard with your box?

mine came with open mips still using it find it a nice clean image the only pain is you have to google for a plug-in that allows you to download any cams but once done its a really nice image

Yes, I was talking to a guy that's affiliated with the VIX team of developers, reason they don't include that is for legal beagle reasons which is fair enough, not that any of us would want to use a .cfg file in our sat box

Odd thing is they make that cam download available as a separate download. So to have it integrated is a case of I hope you like porridge but as a single file to add on is OK?

I'll be back to pick you brains before long blueflash

It is no different to being able to store microsoft office trial version on fileshare site and also store the activation toolkit on same site. If stored in the same folder they will be removed for legal reasons if stored in seperate folders, no laws are being broken, same goes for images, if the devs include files that can be used to obtain premium tv without paying the appropriate company that are supplying said tv (which will be pointed out in small print on image download) porridge may be imminent as you so rightly point out but if you decide to use the files developed for testing (cough cough) for any reason other than testing then it the blame firmly lies at your feet and the clever people can carry on developing. Fair Play to them
