    Realigning dish

    Hi,

I got a lot of good help setting up my motorized dish and motor at the tail end of the summer. When I set it up it was lined up on 0.8W and tweaked till the signal was near 100%.

It's been pointing at 28.2E since Day 2 and has now been knocked offline by the wind last week.

As it's pointing near to 28.2 what is the quickest way to realign? Do I go back to square 1 ? I use Diseqec & USALS.

    cheers

first select a fta channel on thor/intelsat@1west and wait for it to stop.... now send it back to zero in the menu,s then switch it off at the back for for a couple of minutes. when you switch it back on select a channel on 1 west.(1 music channel on 11.900.H.28000.5/6 or musiq 1 on 11.919.V.28000.7/8 as these are dvbs/mpeg2 and strong signals) and then put the info bar onscreen for signal quality/strength. now ajust the whole assembley left or right until you find 1 west and get the maximum quality reading. you may need to ajust the dish elevation but usually its just the motor bracket that moves slightly in high winds due to the crap brackets on usals motors as they dont grip the pole to well, regards mdt
