Looks Good and has a Price tag of around ?89 i just hope Blade actually support this one with firmware and patch updates as that is what let the 7000s down severely

I got to disagree wholeheartedly that the BM7000 has no support.. do you even own one?

The Blade Online channel list is famous for being a killer function that Blade update about once every 3 weeks! Sometimes day to day if there are sudden changes.

The firmware does everything and rock solid. What more do you want it to do?

I don't know ANY other company that updates their boxes this often. The BMCombo had a new firmware 2 weeks ago.

The support is 100% mate. Have you ever emailed them and asked a question? You usually get a reply same day.

I didn't even know they were releasing a new box, but I'm sure it will be supported just the same. Looks good for ?79.

      Happy New Year everyone.

        1. Yes i have owned one Last Patched Firmware Came out in Jan 2013 as i said no support, Not even mentioned the Combo

        2. Whay wait for channel list when you can produce your own with Clarke Tech Editor everytime there is a change, We also have our own Resident Happy Highlander that does a fantastic job with channel lists

        3. The Firmware will not open certain packages that became open from last year such as UPC and Digiturk exactly why i said No Support

        4. Technomate 5402HD which is identical to the blade gets a firmware update at least every 6 weeks and if certain packages become open with emulator its written into the firmware.

        5. as i said its a very good Price for the box ?79 but a box is only as good as its support and thats why i stated lets hope Blade support it how it should be

Obviously the Firmware will be different and i am unsure where you would find the Patched Version unless the Blade media website may hold it.

One of the Other Blade owners such as Ramjet or Happy Highlander may have a better idea.

Will the Patched Firmware allow people to do naughty things with their boxes?

That was a drastic price change... It seems there is a positive effect of all these e2 clones, skybox f3's and clone market...

Would still prefer a well made e2 clone to the blade

i have had my the BM7000 Combo for over 3 years now and i have been pleased with it, so is it worthwhile me changing to the 5000s and if i do will i be able to use my clines in it as i only got them updated in September and i will only be using the combo as a free view box if i change and like digicon said it should be a good box if their is support for it

Read the forum rules, do not talk about cams.

I can see why you could not use it!!!!
You can use it but you will not able to see channels on both boxs at the same time.
Tools owned: Hammer, Chisel, Crowbar, Punch, Chainsaw, Cutter and Brain!!!

Did you know People will question all the good things they hear about you but believe all the bad without a second thought.

its only worth it if the new box does something you want that the old box doesnt (I cant think of anything myself)

so if you were changing I would look at a drastic change to a VU box (not any clones either no matter what people tell you about them, my advice there will never alter as I have never liked clones and would rather see people buy the proper article and know that all the images and files and tools will work regardless)

so dont see the point in changing from a combo to a blade 5000s and I have no idea why it would be beneficial either
