Splitting a feed

I have a skybox f5 in living room and standard free view in bedroom, I went to make use of an old sky+ box to realise there was no satellite socket in the bedroom just an aerial socket. My question is, will splitting the feed effect the performance of the f5? I'm currently using a communal dish, is this even possible? Thanks

no , not possible

you need separate feeds from the lnb on the dish, one feed per tuner

you can swap the feed from one box to another box, or loop through from box a to box b and have box a on standby
