Hi
I have tried mine for the first time last night and would like some assistance from someone who is familiar with this meter. I had 0.8W selected and when to the selection for 'reference satellite'. Pressed OK and the motor moved to 0.8. Tuned the dish into that position, but do I have to reselect another sat say 19E and then hit the 'reference satellite' again for it to move to that position?
Any assistance would be much appreciated as the manual does not give the finer points of actually how to use it. I expect it would be easy for a professional installer but a bit of guidance for the layman would be great.

these instructions are for "usals"
I"v never used mine to drive the motor.and use it this way.I scan channels in from an existing dish/motor,if you only have a sly dish just scan 28.2E in. then using the box put your local lat/long in and send the dish to your chossen sat disconnect the cable from the lnb and using a fly lead connect the meter up and select the sat with an active TP/channel you have sent the motor to.then you can turn the whole motor/dish assembly L/R and the dish only up/down to tune the sat in.Its a nice and easy meter to use but using it to drive a motor will flatten the battery in no time.
PS once you have your target sat tuned in correctly with usals all the other sats will fall into place automatically subject to your mounting pole being 100% plumb and the dish 100% central on the motor spigot.Last edited by dick b; 4 April, 2014, 12:07.Comment
