Dont know what box to get next...

Hello all.
I have a solo which i killed last week currently waiting on a repair from wos.
Atm im using a duo clone and i really like it and it also seems a lot more efficient and faster than the original solo. I also prefer the twin tuner.
With me being a newbie and like to mess around do you think im best going for a clone solo 2 or an original? One of the main things that has sold me this box is the front display the solo just looks shit with out it i think.
Also is there any other genuine suppliers with solo 2 in stock? As wos and gold wafers are out.

the only drawback with clones you cant use uptodate firmware as that may have anti clone stuff in it,wait another few days for the solo2 to come in around 15th feb.

you sound like a woman that likes lipstick like a sexy front on box,i dont look at the solo if picture is on tv.solo was meant for a second room and not to be a main feature in room.

The uno and ultimo both have front displays as well but are getting a bit long in the tooth now with solo 2 and duo 2 widely available

Just had a look at that on wos. Says its the most powerful e2 box yet? Is this an old ad? Or are they better than vu+?

They are equal to solo2 not quite as popular so not quite the same level of support but not lacking in support either. The biggest difference is the gigablue does not run blackhole but has plug and play tuners so you can if you want have 4 tuners hence the name as apposed to the solo 2 which has a fixed twin tuner.
Almost forgot the solo 2 has a gigabit ethernet port the gigablue is still 10/100

yeah i noticed on wos you add 3rd tuner for extra 30 or 4th 60 quid. Going a bit too nuts with four imo though haha
Is there a noticable difference in the ethernet though?? seems pretty quick buffering speeds on streaming sites like...
I just cant wait to get my next box me, like a kid on xmas only been into it about 3 months if that and had 3 boxes soon to be 4 !!

I honestly don't think you are going to notice any difference with the ethernet. First thing to ask yourself is do you have gigabit ports on your router and reasonably easy route to run cat 6 cable with a bb to match of you answer no to any of these questions you will not benefit from the faster ethernet port

I bought the giga blue quad a couple of weeks ago great box bought it with four sat tuners and 500gb hard drive for ?335took a few mins to set up love it. well worth It. ordered it from Germany.
