Multi receiver with a motorised dish

    Hi Guys,

Moving into a new house with a south facing garden in a couple of weeks and looking to install a motorised system. I have a couple of questions that would be big help if anyone could answer

    1) I want to run 3/4 boxes in total and i would like all the boxes to have access to the fixed dish as well as the motorised system. What is the best way to do this? a switch? if so any recommendations?

    2) Is there a way to nominate a "master" receiver that would have control when it is switched on that a second box that could take control when the main box is off? if not how do i control the motor?

    3) I am thinking of going for a 90CM dish(im in kent) any major football reason to go for 1m?

    4) any and all suggestions on set up and a good installer in the area and price for an install if i supply the kit?

Thanks for the help in advance guys

    1. A Quad LNB will be required for both the Fixed dish as well as the Motorised with 4 x 2/1 Diseqc switches.

    2. In Reality Only one receiver can control the Dish there are ways around this but to go into in great detail would take forever and i am unsure if the switches required are even still available.

    3. 1m Far better Chance of getting the Nilesat Transponders from your location and also increase Rain Fade Margin

    4. You would have to specify a Budget to get a reasonable idea of costs and products

      HI Digicon,

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I was thinking of around ?350 in total for the install but can go up to about ?500 at a push.

With regards to the way of controlling the dish from multiple sats, i will be using the satellite in the main building and an outhouse so any info you could give would be a big help so i dont have to run between the buildings to change re-position the satellite
