hi guys I have a starview 6HD Combo + with lan I used on cable but now wont work .I been reading it will work on the sat side do I need to load new software for it to work or will it just work ok as it is.

yes I downloaded that file to my laptop but not sure if I need to download it on to the box

It's no good sitting on the laptop it needs to be flashed to the receiver

do I use a rs232 lead

read the instructions inside the file itself, yes you need a null modem cable to reflash it to spiderbox

just to say the starview 6 is an sd box,with which digicon has had many a say ,box you have is the cable+sat combo hd+lan model.

thanks for all your help lads couldn't do it in the end didn't have the serial lead connection on my laptop.
