Mini Vu duo? should I get one?

I have read alot off posts on them but now that alot of you have had them for a bit longer are they any good & should I get one?

I'm using a Vu solo clone now and love it, but would like to be able to record 1 & watch another!

sorry to gate crash post - but im also looking at getting one of these - can you just confirm if it can do the same stuff as Sly+ hd box ie record different channels - program reminders and auto record and stuff like that
if some one can get back to me asap looking to order one today thanks

There is not a Linux Receiver available today that can do most of what the Official $ly HD box can do but to answer the basics yes you can record one channel and watch another as you can with any Twin Tuner machine, There is a similar function to Auto Record as you put it called autotimer which is similar to series record, as for Program reminders not as yet

im using one of these at the moment and i have to say its pretty damn good, very imressed so far!!

i recommend you also get a usb laptop cooler pad for these, when on standby, fan turns off, box gets very hot and i mean hot, few people here have experienced being stuck on red led , and someone got it working again by using a heat gun on it, maybe the solder loses contact point, me thinking when it gets very hot, might be good idea to keep it cool all the time with a usb fan only ?2

i didnt get much luck with these, bought 2 and both after month or so got red led, i got them back now and using usb fan pad cooler, feel the bottom mate when its been on standby for while , it should be quite warm
