    Orbital Dish

Hi, I have a orbital dish according to the build diagram (see picture) I have found I have two washers missing, does anyone know are these plastic same like the ones that fit on the front of the dish that hold the bracket to the dish, they luck similar or are they metal don?t think I would have got it if I had know the back mounting bracket was plastic, I have put a couple of arrows on the picture, sorry for bad grammar

    Thanks

Hi Jaw2 Not certain but as the mounting bracket(connected to dish) is made of plastic you don't want to tighten the screws too much or the bracket would break.Plastic washers would give more grip when tightening the screws and would protect bracket more than steel ones.(edit)On the other hand you can't have a nut tightening directly on to a plastic washer so,as Digicon says, steel but be careful when tightening the screws.Cheers

As Above the washers are steel having installed countless numbers of these dishes i have not had one yet that when tightening the Nuts/Bolts on these have broken they are extremely solid and to break the back bracket you would have to take a hammer to it.

Do not put Plastic washers there, they are a soft palstic on the front of the dish so as to protect the dish coating when tightening the screws all other washers are steel.

        Regards
