    Eutelsat 3 east (3D) ?

    Hello my friends,

I'm new here so please accept my apologies if this question has been asked before.

Does anybody now if the signal from this satellite (Eutelsat 3 east) is viewable in the area of Manchester UK and, if yes, what dish size is required?

    Many thanks in advance.

      Thanks for your answer.

I'm after the DIGEA package on this satellite.

Satbeams.com says you need a 70cm dish(for Manchester) to get the Europe A beam for 3E,for the Digea package. It's encrypted, though.

Digea the Greek Package although it specifys 70cm you would be better with a 90cm or even 1m as Transponder power on these channels can vary wildly on occasions, the Package is open with Biss key

              Many thanks for your info.

I've been getting conflicting information as to whether this satellite is possible in that location and the size of the dish.

Some people say I need 2m dish, some others between 80cm to 1m and someone else has told me I'll be OK with 1.1m and an Inverto LNB.

The thing is I'm getting no signal with a 80cm dish so it's probably the case you describe so your comment is of great help.

im in bolton north-west uk and get these channels no problem..... they used to be trickey but since 3D was launched and they changed sr they are stable now. the telecom band txp,s are stronger than the fss band ones and it depends on if they are dvbs2/8psk aswell. a correctly aligned orbital 1m or triax td110 with inverto black ultra lnb will get you the channels with rain margin to spare. ANT1 europe is available on 9east and open with softcam and is catchable on a 80cm dish, regards mdt
