mpeg4 is HD,also know as DVB-S2....So you need a receiver that can handle DVB-S2 or HD.I think the transponder is 11881 V 27500,which is DVB-S2 but the channel is only SD,vpid 2010 .May seem a dumb question, but what listing site are you talking about?Cheers

I thought my system was dvb s2, that was the requirement I put into the auction website. So I bought a cheap box
which I found was a dm500 clone. I didnt realise it was a clone, i dont even want to know about all the c.s stuff as it all sound to complicated to me.

Looking at the info again it says 'Available Tuner: DVB-S, DVB-C, DVB-T'

By the look of it no DVB S2

So finally, just to clarify please, is DVB-S differant to DVB S2? So if i have 'S' I wont be able to get 'S2'?

DVB-S2 is generally associated with carrying High Definition channels although they can also appear on DVB-S transponders as well.

Your BlackBox 500 is an Enigma 1 Linux Standard definition receiver so is incapable of receiving DVB-S2 transponders or any HD channels
