    Help with Icecrypt s1600chd recording

I was wondering if anybody can help?

with the advice from Icecrypt to buy a usb2 data stick to record to, i did just that and better,i purchased a usb3.0/ 2.0 Kingston 32GB data stick.
pluged it into the back of the box did a format and speed test and all ok.
but the problem is still there.

warning message 1: devie speed too slow to record
and if i do record I also get mpg unsupported file, when recording from sat.,but mpeg is a recognized file format for the box.

my question is: if I have the fastest speed there is usb3 , how can this be too slow?
and why is the format that has been recorded from the satellite not being recognized?

    please please help

Its not the Speed of the USB standard as 1.1 and 2.0 are fine to record onto, The problem is the Speed of the Flash Memory inside the USB drive may not be up to Much even if the Icecrypt reports it as such.

You need to test the speed on a PC/Laptop with a speed tester program to determine the actual Read/Write Speed correctly

This is interesting.... the manual doesnt really state exactly what is needed, but I would like to know what is required and what speed I need.

My new data stick is a Kingston 32GB datatraveler usb3/2 G4
could you suggest a program for testing the speed.
      many thanks

a Faster Write Speed as this is what is used to record i have just tested a Cheap Corsair 8Gb one that i use as a spare for files only and nothing else, And the Write speed is double what yours is you really need the fastest Read/Write rate avaialble or invest in a Portable External Hard Drive

I would just like to correct on previous posts.
I found that the problem with slow speed was due to the fact that it wasnt pushed in enough.( i thinkl!!)
My problem is now that it doesnt seem to recognize the format recorded off sat. although its mpg, the box should recognize this format.

regards the speed I will check that it is not gived the slow speed error again.

Personally for what it would cost you to get a decent sized USB drive with a Fast write rate your money would be better invested in a Powered portable external hard drive which will work fine
