what regions can i reach with my dish

I live in the Manchester area and have a 1.1m dish, does anybody know what sats I should be receiving with this dish.

I have read that I should be getting the following
    45e, 42e, 39e, 36e, 33e, 28.5e, 28.2e, 23e, 19.2e, 16e, 13e, 9e,7e, 4.8e, 0.8w, 5w, 8w, 12.5w, 15w, 22w, 24.5w, 27.5w, 30w, 34.5w, 37.5w, 45w & 47w.

    At the moment only get 28.5 e - 7e & 0.8w.

Does my satellite need realigning ? or is it settings on my STB. If it is a case of realigning dish then what will that cost roughly?

Or are most of the list above unavailable in my area.

Is there any links for help or advice on this

    Thanks

Hi nimbers, my 80cm dish could bring in most of the above from Ireland so it could be down to something as simple as something (eg. house) blocking you from getting the rest as I had an east facing rear garden where I had 4 X 80cm dishes all no more than 6 feet from ground level.

If you have No obstructions and a Clear Line of sight then in theory you could see something n the region of 75? east to around 75? West as i say thats dependant on a lot of differing factors

I have just looked at what could be the line for my dish and there is a tree within what looks like the west sats would be. At first glance I think that its a close call to whether or not my dish is clear of the tree. would it be worth getting a guy out to sort it? or would a simple tilt back avoid the tree? or could it be that the dish is out f sync to start with.

You cant tilt the dish back it has to be set and left at that setting all the time

is it either site it a lot further away from the tree so it sees clear sky , OR cut back or cut down the tree

trees block signals , as do bricks and buildings too, so you either remove the blockage or site it further away from the blovkage, tilting the dish is not an option

you will get something on most or all of the sats you described , some more than others, if you had a clear line of sight across that southern horizon
