Digi-TV to N3?

Sorry to bring this old topic up but I am relative newbie and would just like to get my head around WHEN this will happen. Other posts state before the new footy season, other sites state it would take months for card roll-out issues etc. I have seen that Eurosport2 is to have 3pm and midweek footy next season (according to liveonsat) and it states in N2. Anyone in satellite world know for sure or is it all speculation?
Also, if I have to go Canal+ Scandinavia, am I right in assuming that the cards are matched to a receiver or can I use my existing technomate and/or Freesat Panasonic TV?

i'd say it will be before the season starts it goes to N3 or just after, no-one knows for sure when it will change exactly though.

canal+ looks to be a very very good package this year for footy and can be bought from here CANAL+ BOUQUET, 12M Pack

That's the french card! Unfortunately I have only got a fixed dish at 1w. I have been ringing around and the best I can get is ?850 at the moment. Anyone know if a swedish card will work on a Panasonic Freesat TV via the CI slot (obviously with a cam)?

can you scan other satellites with that tv like? i'd have thought it would have been set on astra2

Digi-TV have nearly finished issuing the cards to all subscribers across something like 5 countrys, Digi-TV have been simulcasting both N2 & N3 for just under a year now ! but the news is there is a possability with the new Caid and Ecms been displayed that they are starting to use somehing new a mix of N3 & N4 this is also showing up on satellite providers in the USA, this could be bad news meaning that Nagravision see a weakness or opening in the Encryption (N3) and are now adopting a newer security cyphers, but I would expect a full switch off of N2 very soon as sports play a big part especially the football season across Europe when it comes to subscriptions as was the case with Premiere last year ....

DYING CHANNELS

After installing a 1mtr dish at 1'west and patching receiver I found it very disappointing.Not like the d2mac days.I have a valid S** hd+ package and i know people rip the guts out of s** but to be honest they are the best you can get.There legitimate cards for foreign channels but why bother when sky has all the entertainment you can ask for and in english.
When nagra 2 goes at 1'west that the the finish of free encrypted television.People talking about hacking n3,nds etc when there not even a working irdeto2 or conax7 patch/crack whatever you want to call it.In the end everybody will have to pay for encrypted tv.As for 3 oclock kick offs then do what everybody else does....go to the pub and watch it for free.

what a gloom and doom post, who knows what will happen next thats what makes this hobby interesting, for the last few years we have had everything open, and with c/s everything is still open. as for n3 i'm sure the file guys are trying at this time to get it open,but there are
other encryptions that are also i'm sure being checked out, in the last twenty years iv'e never had a blank screen, as for irdeto it's been open for a long time with a gamma card and even now while canal+nl on astra is down on the diablo cam i have it open on the gamma card. so i dont think
i will be giving any money to uncle rupert. a cable box will get most of his chns open for us untill that goes to n3 as reported

Isnt a gamma card around a ?100 quid then a cas3 at around ?60 quid?
Also read in another forum that irdeto 3 out there to thwart pirates so how long will the gamma last?
Tv is a multi multi million pound industry they got the means to buy the best hackers there is to improve there security and thwart loopholes.
Isnt there an old saying about the poachers make the best gamekeepers!

I think you will find m8 that showtime on 7west is still open on the diablo(irdeto 2)...i havent a big enough dish to confirm,but this is what my dealer told me yesterday!!

No disrespect meant gentlemen,I only trying to say that by the time you buy this cam and this card and that programmer to go with it then add all that up and it aint free telly no more.Technology changes that fast that all people are doing is throwing money at a chance to watch 20 or so foreign channels.Take for instance digi film on thor ,they show the same films every single day all week.
When i bought my new system I looked at lyngsat and saw conax,nag 2,etc and the way people perceive these satellite boxes you will get all these extra channels which I might add came from a satellite dealer and what happens when it set up not just on thor but other sats is nothing,just fta or if patched about 200 with nothing on.
Might be ok for football but like i said,just goto the pub and watch it for free.

there has never been any guarantee's in this hobby with anything the only way to look at this hobby is this way if you get a year's chns open from any cam or card or receiver it has paid for it's self many times over when compaired to the subscription the technomate patches for years opened everything for free and the gamma i have is two years old and the diablo cam is about the same and it's only cost a ?23 upgrade fromv2.2 to v2.3 about eight months ago and official cards cost about ?1000 a year and thats only one provider canal+nordic on thor 1w plus what it saved for the other providers this cam untill a few months ago when we lost polsat, multivision, premiere,and we had D+ and tv-cabo a couple of years ago for a long time untill they changed encryptions but the gamma still opens canal digital.nl on astra 19e and the bullsat channels on hellasat 39e and if you have a big enough dish the channels on nilesat 7w i still think it was money well spent. as always if man makes something man can crack it. they have said many times that the encryptions would'nt be cracked time alone will tell,

on one of the sights over here it was reported that over in your area nag3 had been cracked also ovef here by viewsat seen by a visiter at a fta shop but the owner would not give out information about the script probably because the owner of viewsat america Kwack is charged by the FBI . But it sure gives hope that a fix for other unit s is posible

I am sure if you see anything regarding N3 been open especially in a store its nothing more than a hidden card or cut card placed into the receiver to fool buyers into buying old stock in a hope that a N3 hack is only around the corner ! People need to know that any hack will only come about if there is large amount of money to do so or the encryption is old and holes are found in it, I would not expect N3 to be hacked this year or even in 2010 .......
