Autobouquet and new channel scan needed together ?

If I have the Autobouqet plugin thingy installed, should I also sometimes do a fresh new channel scan too or does the Autobouqet plugin thing allow me not to have to do that, I am not sure at all, can someone please let me know ?

    Cheers

    p.s
    I have a genuine vu+duo with OpenPli 4 Installed.

cheers mate, yea I know where the autoboquets plugin thing is found in the menu etc and I know how to run that, its just that I was thinking that running that on its own would automatically put in new channels or ones with less Glitching etc, noticed some were Glitching etc and even in the "All channel list" the other variations of the channels were Glitching too, so thats mainly why I was wondering where exactly does the Autoboquet plugin get its new information from if you run it, does it get its info from another network connection (another person) or from the most up to date fresh channel scan that you do ?

Thats what I meant, I should have maybe made my question a bit clearer, , well I have now anyways I guess, .

ABM is fully automated and grabs it's data from the same data stream a official sky receiver does, no user generated databases required.

Running a new scan won't solve glitching. Remember when you set up autobouquets you entered the tv area you wanted for regionals so it will always scan the same channels. Glitching can be caused by one or a number of things. Dodgy coax connection, or if it's only happening on premium channels then a flaky Internet connection or a problem with that which can't be named could be the cause

HH has pretty much nailed that on the head for the answer, so 2 possible problems if your 'Gltchy' on free to air channels such as BBC or STV etc... then it could be related to either Dish/Coax trouble if the 'Glitch' is primarily on $ channels then as you well know its down to a subject we cannot talk about and no matter how many re-scans you do will fix that problem
