Hi. If you are using USALS you can loosen the dish slightly and move it back until you get a picture then tighten dish up again. With USALS once you have found a satellite the rest should come in assuming your dish angles/LNB skew etc are correct. If you are 6 degrees out it means your alignment is out.

Hi. Well as you have tried re-align it twice and its doing the same thing then if possible try using 1.2 instead of USALS and see if motor moves between 28 east and 19 east. Not familiar with your receiver but i assume it does have the 1.2 function to move the motor. Also what make of motor is it and how old is it??

Just for clarification on the motor scale on all Diseqc motors dont pay a blind bit of notice of what it reads underneath when your on a satellite, as most in the UK are around 2-3 degrees west of due south so 28.2? east would add up to around 31? east anyway like i said the most important part is to get the alignment correct, Another thing to consider is the recent winds a few weeks ago could have already added a little play to the motor stub so when the dish moves around the far reaches of the ARC it will tilt that little bit further than it should if it had no play in it at all.

agree with digicon , if you are focussed on 28.2e using the correct usals then the markings on the motor will NOT be on 28.2e for most users and will be a few degrees out. this is normal and you should not confuse the motor markings with the actual satellite position
my zero marker on my motor will actually point to say 3 west or 4 west as I am in the west of the country, so my 28 east position will not be anywhere near 28 east as shown on the motor markings
the ONLY important marker is that your zero point on your motor should point exactly at true south so if you were on the uk west coast this would be something like 4w or 5w in reality from a satellite point of view, meaning you would pick up fta channels from 4w or 5w when your motor is on zero using its etched housing markings
the trouble is when people start using the motor markings to think that sly should be on 28e on the motor, this is rarely the case for most people , hope that helpsComment
