    good iptv boxes

hi there, as many of you know already know that cs might be on a verge of extinction due to recent changes that sly is making, i'm hoping it will be just a hardware upgrade with a new openbox/slybox release. many are saying that hybrid or just iptv boxes will be the next big "thing", as already others are also looking to take the same route.

wanted to know what people out there are using and what things are to look out for when buying one. also do iptv boxes have a feature to add your own stream links to playback on your tv?

    many thanks,

Well I'm a happy bunny with my gigablue quad plus. Sat and cable tuners installed and the gigabit ethernet combined with processor and ram makes iptv streams very easy for the box to handle. Tsmedia definitely allows you to add your own streams and I'm assuming the other iptv options will as well.

Edit: forgot to mention I've also be testing a midnight mx2 Android box with xbmc for iptv. Although it does work it is more hassle than its worth and just doesn't have the grunt to deal with sopcast or acestreams which are the only ones you can realistically watch a footy game on. All in all I would steer well clear or you will spend more time fixing it than watching it

if your pinning your hopes on them kinda manufacturers your gonna be dissapointed mate.
personally i have a little NUC box with xbmc installed, so all my movies and docu`s are covered there, will keep the dreambox for sd sly , as the only decent premium stuff on there platform is footy an boxing an i can live with sd for now (sure they have down-scaled sd btw, pic is pi$$-poor)

I have a vu+ solo with tsmedia installed . the vu solo allows me to add iptv links to my box in about 3 different ways 2 being by adding them to a bouquet and another being to make .m3u files and add them to tsmedia . you can of course get a stand alone internet /iptv box such as the mag250 which you can add .m3u files to a usb memory stick that's inserted in to the box . also of course an enigma2 box is not only very usefull for viewing the raft of free iptv but also pay plugins can be added to an enigma2 box .
i love it when a dreambox comes together.
