Tune failed....

Hi guys, I'm getting "tune failed" message on Astra 19.2 tp 11332H. All the other tps are fine. I tried doing a re-scan but it didn't find this tp but found over 1400 channels. I then did a manual scan and it found 12 channels but when I select one of them I'm either getting "tune failed" or the station breaks up really badly and the agc flicks between 88% and 0%. I'm loathed to adjust the dish or lnb since all other channels are perfect. I have a technomate tm2t with a fixed 80cm dish with twin lnbs for h/bird and astra 19.2. Does anyone know of a possible solution?

Hi. Please be aware that because you get some channels working perfect it does not mean that your dish/LNB are aligned correctly to a satellite. Some transponders are stronger than others . You say you are getting 1400 channels but is this only on Astra or both satellites. Going by what you are saying about picture breaking up i suspect its an alignment issue. You could check if cables are connected properly or adjust your LNB sightly to see if pictures improve. Also if possible test it out on a second receiver to see what results you get. Good luck

I have over 1400 channels on Astra 19.2. I've checked the cabling, connectors etc and all seems ok. I'm getting roughly 88% agc and 63% snr on all other tps. I can't understand why it is only this one tp. I'm worried that if I move my dish or alter the lnb skew I might affect all the other tps. Unfortunately I don't have another stb to test on.

That particular transponder is for sly germany, is encrypted and is also HD and unless you have a HD box then you wont get any joy from it.
