    Cable and Satellite combo.

Right, I think this question has been asked millions of times, but asking again!

I want to watch HD channels so what would people recommend i.e., should I get an 80cm, a diseqc switch and watch hotbird on 13e, or does hotbird not have hd?

Alternatively, should I get a combo sat/cable box i.e an Amiko Alien HD?

    Thanks!

I would say most satellites have a combination of SD and HD channels now , so yes hotbird will have HD channels , some fta , many will be scrambled (as they will be on others too like 28.2e)

not many boxes have cable tuners nor will you find much to watch thats free on cable either , especially not HD

the duo 2 may take cable tuners, as may a gigablue quad , maybe one or two others too

any sat box should have diseqc switching capabilities

you can check the channels on king of sat or fly sat or lyng sat websites , so check out hotbird there

        Thanks buddy for your comment.
Basically I want to watch sports, movies and asian channels.
I will have to look at channel lists.
        Thanks!

Hey buddy, I was going to mention these boxes but after having the likes of starview before, I would like a more reliable box!
