DVB-T, how does it work ?

I have some HD and SD terrestrial channels that id like to watch.
I saw that there are these DVB-T with USB
How does they work ? Can i see even the not free channels ?

terrestrial channels are normally by aerial like freeview non encrypted as it does not pick up sly movies or sports as not terrestrial
probably get your bbc and itv etc .
you would need to check area suitability and mpeg2 or 4 used.

In my area i have some mpeg4 encrypted terrestrial channels.They are part of a platform and i cant see them.
A dvb t2 dongle can decrypt them?

dont think so as freeview is free and not encrypted and boxes or usb usually have no power to decrypt to my knowledge .
but stick would need to be mpeg4,old box i had was mpeg2 and one day only audio worked as they moved to mpeg4.

There are 2 encrypted channels on UK freeview namely BT Sport 1 & 2, after a little research it appears that member Avf130 is actually located in Albania so they could possibly have encrypted Terrestrial channels such as the Digit-Alb package
