    Removing stored sat positions

Could anyone help me please, I have my system set up, a motoriesd dish and a Protrk 9750, unfortunatly the strong winds here keep blowing the dish out of line on the side of the house, so i'm building a ground base with walls at the rear and sides to protect the dish from the wind, I need to clear the stored sat positions on the protek box so I can re-do it, can anyone tell me how to unstore the set positions Thanks

I don't know your make of receiver but you could edit the channel list with a program called NDFEdit which can work on .NDF or .CNDF files. You get your channel list off the receiver, onto a pc and use this program. Then put the modified channel list back Cheers. Mark

Why do you want to clear the sat positions?I take it you don't want to delete the satellites,as I mistakenly thought. If you're talking about re-locating the dish all you need to do is set the dish to a satellite south of you, from the box,and then move the motor on the pole until you get a signal. This is assuming you haven't changed the dish/motor relationship. You may have to adjust the elevation a bit as well.I take it you know the pole has to be perfectly vertical.Good luck cheers Mark
