I recently got a motor for my dish. I set it up with a bit of trouble, but managed to get it working. The problem I am having is that I am only picking up 3 satellites 19.22, 23.5e and 28.2e. 28.2e I get about 90-95% quality and the other two ,if I fiddle around with it, at best I get 65%.
Unfortunately I have not managed to get any other satellites. I would like to know if I need a larger dish. I am currently using a 60cm eliptical and my location is in Dundee Scotland.
I am using a tm5402 m2 and a tm2600 m2 motor. I have used this site SatLex Digital :: Technology :: Calculators :: AZ/EL Calculator to help me do my set-up. The value it gives me what the motor should be on is the same as on my dish motor when it is pointing at the satellites, so I think it is tracking the arc correctly.
