Motorised dish keeps losing signal after 2/3 weeks

    Hi

    Hoping someone can help

I have a motorised dish and have it set so getting a strong signal across the arc and getting HD on thor and the dish moves correctly with USALS.

But maybe after 2/3 weeks the signal drops when I move channel but if I manually move the dish within the satellite signal search menu it will pick the signal up. Usually have to move the dish a few steps east or west.

Has anyone heard of this before?

I use usals m8 and i could be wrong but if your dish is setup correctly you should not have to fine tune like you say , remember the weather can cause signal drop and wind can give dish movement, and also if your dish motor worn it can cause it to miss sometimes, satellites have weaker and strong transponder I used ter have a spiderbox it would be ok but once i started searching for more channel say blind scan for no reason really it would do what your is doing now, so i had ter do a factory reset re patch and load latest channel list and it was ok then, what breed of receiver have you got m8 maybe members may help if they know what breed it is and motor may want a reset refresh, if you can back up and reset maybe it may eliminate software problem if you have, but back up any lines etc before you do it, hope you get sorted m8

Had a similar problem about 2 weeks ago.
Ended up having to factory reset the motor, when I had driven it back to "0"
That sorted it, could be the answer to your problem bud..
