Importent Points - Choosing Satellite Dish & Receiver

    Hello,

What are the main key points when choosing a satellite dish and receiver, mean which features should be considered.

I have posted two threads before to get info but I am still confused because I do not have enough knowledge in these things. And I have to buy a best Satellite TV System for my home in next week. I do not want to use Sky TV or other services because I want my own home setup. I am living in London and I need to get Pak & Ind Channels.

I will be very thankful for providing bset and to-the-point info.

    Many thanks!

How is your computer, ftp and forum skills?
The only way other than to buy a nanoxx as mentioned in other threads is to buy a receiver like a dreambox and cardshare. Discussions on that are not allowed here but google will tell you everything.

You wont get any pak/indian chnls on the nanoxx/protek....
no world tv on 24.5west since the new server...
ps..if you do get one go for the nanoxx 9600ip it has a superior
tuner than the protek/maxx...ive tried all 3 boxes now and the nanoxx performs better on the weaker birds.

I need Pak & Ind channels, if nanoxx does not cover these as you said please recommend me a box which is suiteable.

google cardsharing. You will need a Linux receiver and decent FTP skills, also you will need a good amount of time behind the PC to find peers.
