    Darkmotor supreme problems

    I am being helped here:

However I have run into a separate problem regarding the motor.

    EDIT:

Thought I had it sorted but gone pear shaped again.

Dish won't move via remote (blade 7000)

Took it off, took indoors, reset and using remote sent it to 0.8 which worked, then I took back to mount and it would not respond to remote.
Took it back down and connected to box (no response to remote)

Tried usals, & 1.2, tried moving east & west etc NOTHING

LED's are flashing as they should, hard reset with power on is still the same.

I sent it round a fair bit using west button, I then held both buttons down, then connected co-ax and kept buttons pressed in, on letting go it returned to "0" so reset works except still no response.

Holding east and west buttons with co-ax connected moves the motor then it flashes for five seconds supposedly resetting table. (again nothing via remote)

No idea what to think now

    thanks

heres a copy of a darkmotor manual it will need unzipping and opening with adobe reader.Although these motors are popular I"ve steered clear of them as they have had problems in the past.you can get a new TM2300 for ?40.
double check you have the right settings in the box IE;set to usals with lat and long correct

EDIT just seen you have found problem

Thank you for link and I will check

I have edited the post above as by stripping it down and taking to box I was finally able to reset sat table.

Now I will try the assembly again

      cheers

I post 1 you say it works indoors but not outside.Perhaps the cable or connections. Can you move the motor with the buttons ok?Maybe a reset on the box will help, after saving the channel list.Try before re-loading channel list.

Hi mark (have posted in the elevation thread I have going elsewhere to answer a question there)

But for clarification here is a summary. (blade 7000)

          1. Connected the dish to pole in garden (box won't send motor round) (also tried various cables including a 20 metre one still on drum)

          2. Took the motor off and put it next to box, reset and sent it to 0.8 and it moved fine so I thought I had it sorted.

          3. Re assembled on pole in my garden, same thing would not shift except with own buttons.

          4. Took it back indoors and still the same.

If i manually move it (east button for example) to about 13 deg then with power off hold both buttons then connect power for 5 seconds it sends the motor back to 0
So it appears to working as it should.

Have brought back a spare spiderbox 7000 today and again the motor won't respond to the box, just it's own buttons. (so I doubt it's worth resetting blade box if I get the same thing with spiderbox)

Will try to get a friend who has his own sat & aerial company over to prove or disprove the motor, cos until I get that sorted out I am p#ssing in the wind.

          Thanks for feedback
