    Hi, a family member wants to get on the bandwagon but never used before and wants cheap


    ive suggested starting with skybox or openbox but I might be behind the times


    am I correct in what I say for a starter box

    I would have said get a spiderbox 6000 HD or the tm5402 HD , especially if its for motorised , spider is less than ?60 and has a 1 year "extras" included which is for various sats but NOT 28.2e

        why not try an amiko micro there cheap and cheerful, ?50, and get you what you want

            almost any patched box will do as you want for 28e (or any other sat)

            so everything mentioned so far, plus a lot more any linux , any spider , any blade , any amiko , any technomate , all down to preference
