Old Sky Box + New Dish = European Channels??

Hey everyone, my girlfriend is from Luxembourg where they watch all the German channels Ard, RTL etc and I just realised that I still have an old sky box -

Unfortunately I don't have the dish as we never took it down from our student house. If I get myself a new dish (60cm?) and then point it at the correct satellite (Astra 1?). Would the box be able to pickup all of the German fta channels? FYI we live in a first floor flat in Surrey (if that has any relevance to setup?)

Reckon I would be in for major brownie points if can get the German channels setup downstairs as my V+ is gonna be pretty much out of bounds for the next 9months due to the premiership starting :-)

That receiver will only pick up channels on 28E (Sky's satellite)

Buy a cheap FTA receiver from Lidl or from eBay.. Search for Comag Receiver, should be around the ?20 mark

It will only pick up channels which have similar transponders to sky channels ie if sky1 was on 17752 v 22000 and if rtl was on 17755 v 22000 it would pick it up but not worth the hassle mate.
