quick help with freesat pls

Thanks for your posts lads thought i was getting an early night before i go away tomorrow mrs just complained her programs not recording.
i normally record her soaps on freesat but bbc hd and a couple of other channels are showing n/a next to them done a forced scan no joy updated channel.xml no joy done different scans for different areas still no joy.
the answer is right in front of me i know just cant get it together, any input very appreciated need to get it sorted tonight if possible.

Just done another scan epg is populated but still has n/a beside channels where BBC ect should be can select channel but will not record on that channel.

did you reboot box and router thinking this box may use lan for epg?

i use usb for my epg have rebooted my box. i have reset my router tonight only because my daughter could not connect to the internet.

but once re connected and re scanned this should make no difference should it.

P1000415.JPGYes re-done epg first as channel only had n/a where BBC HD ect should be and epg was not populated whole line was blank after re doing epg programs showed in epg but still n/a where channel name should be tried recording from epg but will not record on channels with n/a but will on others.
changed net id from manchester 1 to manchester 2 to manchester 3 all the same tried several channel.xml i have still no joy was hoping to correct it before I am away.

could i of corupted my channel.xml in any way? i have installed three different channel.xml confused

Delete the EPG completely from the USB stick as this may have a corruption then do a re-scan on the EPG. Hopefully with a new EPG folder and EPG.dat this may solve it

Have you done a channel scan recently? ?? You often get n/a as a channel name when using the cable/terrestrial tuner, if the dvb service changes the channel will still work but no name. This is solved if you use either autobouet maker to scan on cable or if you use dbe to edit channel list and select do not use dvbs use current name (or something along those lines, can't remember the exact wording but I'm sure you get the jist of it) you will see the option of you double click the service from the left hand panel.

Hi thanks for the reply's it is for all sat and cable but more concerned about free sat as I left the Mrs last week on her own and she records her soaps on free sat.
thanks happy_highlander edited via dbe and all ok found auto bouquets maker on auto update was not downloading properly. so disabled it.
