so what happens in the instance of sky as for the currrnt situation is they have already started to bring over certain channels over to HD ona perment basis which is crap im just wondering if at all there is any way there is a way of cracking the HD encryption on a solid basis as i use sky box and dreambox dm500s currently, but i also know the linux stb`s are very able of so much in the way of dealing with new encryption problems that are thrown in its way. unsure if there is a way of making the linux boxes purley internet based as its all based on internet connection with no sat input but does the same job which goes along the lines of IPTV based boxes which the likes of BT and talktalk provide with vision and youview. hopefully the hackers of the dark sat forms will had cracked the HD encryption before it all switches over to HDLast edited by mrmack25; 25 October, 2014, 09:56.Comment

There is no way that these foreign clone box manufacturers will take this sitting down. Its in their vested interest to keep this going so they can sell more clones. There is probably a room full of Chinese Linux script-kings typing away right now ?

so if a chinese firm has cracked HD and are selling with there own box this brings to many problems to the table in the fact that it needs to cracked on a more widley open source not closed otherwise it becomes pointless knowing that the chinese cracked HD does not help us in the UKComment

it's the old saying when ever changes happens certain people
panic and talk themselves into even more gloom and doom,
if all the channels all go on two or three satellite from this provider
i wont be holding my breath for someone to get them back in the
near future,there are plenty chns still open on many other sats,as
for the clone manufacturers working overtime to crack these new blocked
channels, to keep selling boxes. i think thats tripe and i would say the
makers of original receivers/dishs etc: if every thing goes bang,they will have more
to loose if they cant or dont get orders for new items, and that could lead to places
we have bought from over the years going out of business.and if the providers get
there satellite channels secured to all but official ways. surly know one will think they
wont tell the cable provider to up there system to the new box pairing to stop that way of
getting there channels from non official cards etc: and finally after all these threads on
this subject we have had posted i suggest we have a gloom and doom section on the forum
so anyone can post there views or best guess on what will happen next . my view know one
knows how it will all end, so i say enjoy the many channels that are available from all the other
satellites.there has been loads of changes over the last 20 years or so in the satellite hobby and
there has always be a fix get the channels back but now these encryption's and pairing systems
are getting very sophisticated and will be very difficult to crack. the only good thing is it will kill off
all the one's who have been ripping off lots of enthusiasts with costly rubbish ways of getting the chnsPlease Read Carefully!

who cares I got all my chans on android and more ,and in HD its now better than my sat so I think you should all get yourselves a nice quad core m8 android even does 4K .

No! Mr Sly cannot do a thing about the internet and XBMC but the IPS's can. They blocked torrent sites and Sportsdevil has finished its the same as in any game Sat,Cable,IPTV its all cat and mouse and staying in front
