yeah the way I use mine is I scan a few active TPs of both polarities in for the sats I want from an existing set up then as you say simply select that sat and a known channel then adjust the dish/motor to tune it in once you have a lock the info button brings up a meter. if you cant set it up with an existing dish just make sure you have an active TP in the add channels menu then adjust the dish to get max signal before scanning for channels.its a lot easier to use than to explain.
dont be tempted to do a software update many have locked the meter trying and its not neccessary as you can add/delete sats,TPs,channels etc; via the menus.
the instructions while not being in the best english will help you get an understanding of the meter.Comment

I have just bought a Sat Link WS 6933 from Flea bay for just under ?52.00 delivered.I just entered my latitude and longtitude and it worked right away with the TPs already loaded.Looks easy enough to edit TPs and satellites if required. It seems to do everything my Horizon meter does at a fraction of the price.Comment
