    newbie looking for advice

    hi im pretty new to this and willing to learn , i used to have a skybox f5s but it broke so looking to buy something better . i have a budget of about ?100 looking for something simple enough to update and put software on if i need to . any advice on what to buy and where from would be a great help thanks , mark

    openbox v5s or v8 are skybox f5 update id not go mad with budget at present as rumours going around again that come xmas may be all over but who knows how long

        have a look at the media@link black panther box seems a good box for the money easy to set up for about ?59
        nobody knows how long anything will last you pay your money and take your chances

        if you want more from your box such as youtube 7 day epg streaming movies then you would be better looking at a linux box, for your budget, a clone dm 800 might be the way to go but they have a much bigger learning curve

          no , and yes

          a spiderbox 6000 is cheap and will give various options like the 12 months blah blah (not 28e) and iptv streaming and usb stick file playback

          otherwise buy a VU or similar and obtain much more, but with a bigger learning curve (VU or the gigablue or technomate twin)
