Thank for for that most help full
Had enuff for today,However will give it another go tomoz.
It seems i had my Longitude & Lattitude wrong way round in the Usals Menu now
they say 2.9w = -2.911 longitude
53.3N = 53.2740 Latitude ( info from Dishpointer)
Ill reset the motor back to Zero tomoz then move the motor via Usals to 1 West start Dish at 26Deg sweep left to right then drop a Degree then sweep again
My only concern is Is the dish to high up on the pole to begin with.
Your Co -ord are spot on as i Live in Ellesmere Port
Many Thanks AgainComment

is doesnt matter how high the motor is on the pole as long as nothing blocks your line of sight. I only put mine step ladder height as the lower they are the easier they are to work on just as long as they cant be interfered with by someone at ground level. if you do it as you say in your last post you will succeed just make sure you have that active TP set.
Tip: I put a car exhaust clamp on the mounting pole under the motor bracket it makes it easy to turn the whole assembly without it sliding down the pole, you can always remove it once setup if you wantLast edited by dick b; 16 December, 2014, 17:19.Comment

no you shouldnt, something is very wrong. re-check everything using the guides in the stickies and the ones I sent check you have the dish the right way up and you are using the correct scale although dish scales are not that accurate and only a guide, sent to 1w the dish should look not far off vertical as a starting point.Comment

Yeah,I don't understand that. This is the elevation scale attached to the dish? You've set your lat scale correctly? If yes to both of these questions then you might have to ignore the scale. You've followed the procedure recommended by Dick?So you've got a good signal for 1W and when you move off to another satellite the signal gets worse.Make sure the pole is absolutely vertical. Also check the the motor is clamped to pole evenly so that the motor is vertical as well .Perhaps a couple of picture might help,of the motor and dish scales.see what Dick says.Cheers.MarkComment

I have just re-read your 1st post and the dish set up figures you quote are for a fixed dish and wrong for your set up you should have no skew and dish angle in theory should be 22 degrees but as I said you want to start higher and gradually reduce the angle til a signal is found while sweepingL/R then fine tuneComment

heres another guide for you using 28.2E as target sat dont forget lnb skew is"0"Attached FilesComment

Hi
still trying to lock on to that elusive strongest 1 West Transponder with out success using a matchbox in line needle bleeper
i read the wrong scale on the Dish and found another scale on the other side now hovering around the 26 deg and gettin some signal on 1 west.
ive moved the motor to 1 west ,swinging the dish L & R and up n down to lock down but not found yet.
hopefully ill sort soon
Thanks Again for your Continued Support

10.778 H 24500 With BBC world news is good and strong on 0.8West and 12.418 V 28000 with Sky news int is even stronger We wont give up on you mate. Those needle sat beepers are not a lot of cop as they only register that you are on a sat but not which one. if possible if you dont have a proper meter you need to be able to see the Tv I used to lug a portable and the sat box outside til Igot a meter. you must sweep slowly and methodically lowering by 1 degree at a time to get a signal then fine tune both L/R and up/down to get max quality. You did reset your lnb to zero skew didnt youAttached FilesLast edited by dick b; 17 December, 2014, 18:18.Comment

I am as i say using the needle bleeper
The Lnb is set to Zero
Ive got a Small LCD & Satellite Receiver outside nearby (Weather permitting) and moving the dish up n down L & R
HOPEFULLY THE TECHNOMATE SIGNAL QUALITY & STRENGTH WILL TURN BLUE & YELLOW
