they do a Triple tuner for the 800se DVB-S2/T/C available from most PRC suppliers, you will of course need an image with the relevant triple tuner drivers for it to work

The downside of pointing the op to the trial tuner is it will pin him back to oe1.6 images, as it doesn't work with oe2 images
The triple tuner works fine with oe2 images and by editing the cables.xml file it can be merged with your satellites.xml, then the tuner needs configuring correctly.
It took me about 3 weeks with a lot of help from one of our image builders to sort it, I have two running nicely using OpenATV 4.2
It's very easy when have mastered it haha I can laugh now!
If he's confident with DM800se then go for it as you can zap from sat to cable with ease.
If not stick to dedicated tuners

Would the sunray triple tuner install and work correctly on any make of dm800se or does it have to be a sunray model ?
